Indus 1S Wireless E-stop
Wireless E-stop that can be held by an individual to enable them to stop a machine in the event that they cannot reach the fixed E-stop and fails to communicate the need to stop the machine.
Is a portable wireless E-stop safe?
The Indus 1S is completely new. In addition to an improved radio protocol with the chance of interference from other transmitters drastically reduced, the Indus1S now works via narrowband 868 MHz. Furthermore the range has been improved to 600 meters in open field and the OEM has gone a step further in eliminating all possible risks by providing two emergency stop relays in the system. The system is provided with an EC type-examination certification and in compliance to the machine directives with Performance Level C (PLc).
The compact transmitter with the mushroom-shape emergency stop button can easily be attached to the belt. Paired with the Gemini receiver you have a great Remote E-stop solution.

Designed with safety in mind
The Tyro Gemini receiver is specially designed for receiving and switching the emergency stop signals of the Indus handheld transmitter. Together they form the Indus/Gemini the wireless emergency stop system.
How the system works
The Gemini receiver has two safety relays with forced contacts. As long as the Indus transmitter is active and within the range of the Gemini receiver these relays are enabled. When the emergency stop button on the Indus transmitter is pressed, the relay in the Gemini receiver switches off and the specific application is stopped immediately.
Redundant safety relays, outdoor-range security & error detection
The status of the safety relays in the Gemini receiver is monitored continuously. If a fault occurs – for example, a relay does not switch or becomes stuck in the Gemini receiver – the 2nd redundant relay will shut down, thus guarantees safe operation. Also, when the Indus transmitter is out of the range of the receiver, the relays in the Gemini immediately shut down to prevent dangerous situations occurring.
Easy to connect
The Gemini receiver is easy to connect in series to the existing emergency stop circuit of the safety-PLC. The SMA antenna of the Gemini can always be positioned optimally with an extension cable if required, making it possible to achieve a very large range up to a maximum of 600m also in difficult surroundings. This is ideal for situations where environmental factors that can suppress, absorb or reflect the radiographic signals, such as buildings with a lot of steel, concrete and glass.
